Meet Ariel!

Ariel is a female pitty pup born 2/14/18. Her owners surrendered her to ACCT at 6weeks old due to the birth defect in her legs as they had no time to care for her.

Ariel was born with "Swimmers Legs" Syndrome, meaning her back legs are splayed out and she never learned how to walk on them. She pulls herself around on her front legs.

She is currently undergoing an intense physical therapy schedule, however the prognosis might be that she is a wheelchair dog since the condition was not treated for so long. We will be trying our best to help her walk!
